It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since you were taken from us. Fifteen years since your life was cruelly cut short, and yet there are still moments when it feels like it was only yesterday.
Time has moved forward, but it hasn’t erased you. We still remember your laugh, your personality, the memories we shared, and all the things that made you who you were. We carry those memories with us, even as the years continue to pass.
You should have had so many more years. So many more birthdays, holidays, conversations, and memories still waiting to be made. It will always hurt knowing those moments were taken from you.
Today, on the 15th anniversary, we remember you. We speak your name. We honor your life and the place you will always hold in our family.
Fifteen years later, you are still loved. Still missed. Still remembered.

We distributed pinwheels to the graves of all of our relatives in honor of Brent’s birthday. We even included baseball great Joe DiMaggio, who is located nearby.

Not sure where to begin with this post. We do not know how to even process the emotions of what August 7th holds. It has been ten years since Brent crossed over. Ten years of experiencing moments that we have not discussed. Ten years without phone calls, or sharing hearty laughs. Facing this reality is difficult. It feels like he left yesterday, but it also feels like it has been forever.
We ask that you remember Brent for a few moments with us on August 7th by thinking of a great memory, sharing about it on his guest book, or saying a prayer. We have 3″ stickers of the above image available. Feel free to reach out if you would like a memorial sticker.
